God strengthened me to carry on God’s ministry continuously from the commencement of this year till now. God blessed this year’s ministry more abundantly in India and abroad than all the previous years. Many thanks to the kind hearted people who prayed for me, my family and Miracle Ministry.
During the first five months of this year, I did not go to any other country except Brunei and Singapore, but stayed in India and preached in different States and many Cities and Towns in Tamil Nadu. I was overjoyed to meet some old friends and many who were blessed by Miracle Ministry in some places in the past years. I was glad to see the reward of my labour.
From June onwards, every month I undertook foreign trips. I was compelled one year ago to preach in the wedding ceremony of the elder daughter of Mr. P.O. Abraham and Mrs. Susan Abraham on June 2nd at Toronto, Canada. This couple were childless for eight long years. They are Malayalees and belong to the Brethren group. They took part in an All Night Prayer at V.P. Hall, Madras about 25 years ago. Among the 1500 strong crowd at that night, the Holy Spirit revealed their condition through me and promised them of a child.
As the Holy Spirit revealed, Mrs. Susan conceived and gave birth to a child Anu Sheela who is 24 years old now. I was invited to participate in her wedding. I had great mental satisfaction of participating and preaching in this wedding ceremony which was attended by leaders of Brethren Assembly and hundreds of believers.
Taking advantage of their ticket, I had arranged short distance tickets and preached at Vancouver and Montreal in Canada and Detroit in the USA. The Lord had blessed all these meetings in a great way. I returned to India after finishing all these meetings within two weeks.
I preached at the two days large crusade organized by Perambur Hospital Prayer Fellowship, Madras. During July 7th to 15th, I stayed at London, the capital city of England for 9 days and preached in some special meetings. In particular, I shared God’s Word in Dr. Tayo Adeyemi’s New Wine Church and in Two Crusades organized by Mrs. Nila Jonathan Suriakumar, with the co-operation of all the local churches. The First meeting was held for Tamils in a large centre at South Hall and the second meeting was at Stanmore Baptist Church for English speaking people. In both these meetings, people came in large numbers with the auditoriums overflowing to listen to the Word of God.
As my wife Shanthi Solomon and son Samuel Solomon had to preach in some other meetings, I left them in London and returned to India on July 17th.
At Madras, the one day meeting arranged by Dr. V.G. Selvaraj, the Vice Chairman of V.G.P. Group of companies was a great blessing and truly an unforgettable one.
After that I preached at the special meetings organised at St. John’s CSI Church Grounds at Avadi and at Mugappair C.S.I. Resurrection Church Grounds. The messages preached in these meetings were telecast through Tamilan TV and they were a great blessing to thousands.
On August 17th morning, I left Madras and reached London Via. Bombay on the same evening. I spent a night in our Miracle Ministry Office along with Mr. Jonathan Suriakumar and Mrs. Nila Suriakumar. Next day early morning, I left London and reached Stockholm, the capital of Sweden by midday. Rev. Sven Gunnar Roos received me at the Airport, provided me with lunch and put me on a train at the Airport itself. This was the first train journey I undertook in Sweden. From Arlanda Station which is at the Airport I reached Hudiksvall via Gavle by the same evening. Rev. Gert Ove Liw met me at the Railway Station and made me stay at Hotel Best Western. I preached for an hour in the Sunday Service at his Filadelfia Pentecostal Church. Mrs. Katarina Klaar the Missionary, interpreted my message into Swedish language. Since she had already translated for me twice in the past years, we had no language problem. I had preached twice during last years at Rev. Gert Ove Liw’s Church. He is a man of God, full of burden for souls and highly evangelistic minded. I had great joy in meeting him again. I praise God for the love of Christ which gives a relationship that those who meet long ago would never forget each other.
With great satisfaction after the service, I had my dinner, slept and got ready for a long train journey. I reached Alvesta from Hudiksvall via. Gavle, Nykoping, Norrkoping by train. Rev. Kjell Ivarsson met me at the railway station and took me in his car for a distance of 100 km. From morning till evening train journey and then continuous car journey. I had to get into the pulpit straightaway and preach due to the compulsion of ministry. I stood up to preach as per Matthew 26:41 which says, “The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” I had a fresh feeling without any trace of tiredness. Then what! I preached as usual.
I got new friends at this new place and travelled the same night for about 140 km by car and reached the house of Rev. Borje Claesson at Almhult almost at midnight. He received me with smiling face and made me to stay in his large house! It was not just a large house - he has a large heart too.
Rev. Borje Claesson is the owner of the only Christian TV Station in Sweden. He is a businessman. As definitely led by God, he started a TV Station in a small town called Almhult. The programmes telecast in this TV Station reaches all over the Continent of Europe via Satalite. Through internet it has spread all over the world. Three of my programmes were recorded in this TV network. Out of these three one was a live telecast.
There was a great applause which took long time to die down, when I said, “Those who said, Will anything good come out of Nazareth?, wondered by seeing Jesus, the Saviour of the world coming from that town. Similarly, Channel-10 (Kanal-10) TV Station which is having its base in a small town called Almhult is a source of eternal life to millions of people.”
On August 24th Rev.Sven Gunnar Roos travelled for about 400 km and participated along with me in the direct TV interview. Rev. Borje Claesson, the owner of the TV Station, himself conductd the interview. Rev. Kjell Ivarsson did the interpretation for me.
I want to share the reminiscence which flashed in my mind. In 1975, when TV came to India, Doordharshan was the only TV Channel in India. In the subcontinent of India, in 1975 on Christmas day, I, a very young minister of God, was given the privilege of preaching on the very first Christian TV Programme in India. I am always thankful to God for this. I recalled the Live Telecast in Channel-42 (now it is called TBN) at Dallas, Texas in the U.S.A. in 1984. I would never forget the Lord giving me at a very young age , the rare privilege.
Yet another unforgettable event was the Live Telecast in 1996 through Cross Roads TV (100 Huntley Street) at Hamilton in Toronto, Canada. The satisfaction was that my soul knew no bounds when some people met me and shared about the miracles they received through this telecast. The doors opened by our Lord in International Ministry for the past 29 years have always been open. Glory to God alone!
On August 24th night, after delivering the message at a meeting in a place called Ljungby, I ate two slices of bread sandwiched with butter and cucumber as my dinner and along with Rev. Sven Gunnar Roos, travelled for 400 km through the night and reached Nykoping town. Here is my mother’s home. I am referring to Rev. Sven Gunnar Roos’ house! After sleeping for a few hours, I just went out with Rev. Sven and his family members to an Indian Restaurant had my Lunch with satisfaction. My joy knew no bounds as I ate Indian food after so many days!
On 26th August 2007, Sunday morning after preaching in Filadelphia Church service, I went to the Dining Hall, took two waffles mixed with Honey as my lunch, got into Rev. Sven’s car, travelled for 400 km and reached Almhult. I preached in a special One Day Crusade organized by Channel 10 TV Station at 6 pm. The two hour programme which was conducted like an One Day Cricket Match was telecast live throughout Europe.
The music team, called Friendship International, after seeing the TV Advertisement, voluntarily came farward and sang special songs in the meeting. The Friendship International Choir was a mixture of International singers from U.S.A., Chile and Romania. Their singing was like ground preparation for me. I preached exactly for one hour and Rev. Kjell Ivarsson interpreted it into Swedish language. As he stood with me and translated with the same zeal and spirit, it was a great support for me. The direct telecast reaches all the countries in Europe and through internet, it reaches all the countries of the world. I can say that this programme was an important milestone for Miracle Ministry.
Multitudes thronged the auditorium. After the meeting was over, the one question asked was when would you come back to our country? Finally, the TV Station owner, Rev. Borje Claesson came to me and gave the invitation to preach in a large Convention in Sweden from 17th to 27th July, 2008 and said that he would telecast these programmes live. I accepted the invitation and travelled again by car for 400 km and we reached Nykoping. Next day Rev. Sven drove me to Stockholm International Airport and I returned to my motherland through London.
I am receiving letters and emails from my well-wishers and I pray and reply individually. At these times, I have the feeling that I am meeting those poeple to whom I am replying. Rest after your reply. |
